It, therefore, applies to any business, wherever located, meeting any of the following criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sells to Californian residents and generates more than $25 million in annual revenue;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Receives, buys, sells or shares the personal information of more than 50,000 Californian consumers, households, or devices annual, for commercial purposes; or<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earns more than half of its annual revenue through selling Californian\u2019s personal information.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Comparison with GDPR<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CCPA is considered by some to be \u201cGDPR lite,\u201d and while the legislation certainly isn\u2019t as onerous as its EU counterpart, it still represents a significant risk of litigation that you should do all to protect against.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What CCPA Means for your Ecommerce Business?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you fall within the scope of CCPA, then you must comply with the regulations.
